Alisa and Guillaume, Spirit Routes journey organizers, together in the mountains
Alisa & GuillaumeJourney organizers · Spirit Routes
03 / Your companions

We’ll walk this path with you.

We chose the Annapurna Circuit to begin Spirit Routes because this is where our story began: when Guillaume finished his trek, he met Alisa.

Two organizers accompany you from preparation until you are back home. On the trek, a licensed Nepali guide and a local support team, including porters, join us.

Alisa

Yoga teacher and facilitator of meditation and sound practices. She creates space to slow down, listen to yourself and connect with the group.

Guillaume

Guillaume has completed the Annapurna Circuit three times. He brings first-hand knowledge of the trail and its everyday realities to our preparation and journey.

What makes this journey special

We have walked this route before. Let us take care of the details, so you can slow down and be fully here.

Before the first step

Support with physical preparation, equipment and practical questions, so you arrive informed and ready for the journey.

Space for your own experience

A personal intention, grounding practices and time for reflection, adapted to the altitude and the group’s rhythm.

Memories you can return to

A videographer captures our journey, so you can put your phone away and enjoy the moment. You’ll receive photographs and a short film. Back home, we’ll meet online to share impressions and reflect on what we want to carry into everyday life.

A day on the trail

An example, not a fixed timetable. Practices are optional and adapted to the altitude, weather, available space and how the group feels.

Morning

Gentle movement, a short meditation and an intention for the day, followed by breakfast.

On the trail

Walking with the local guide, pauses for rest and lunch, and moments to notice the landscape in silence.

Evening

Time to rest, then a sharing circle or a gentle sound practice when conditions allow. On long trekking days, rest comes first.

05 / Before you decide

A few things worth knowing.

Safety & altitude

How do we approach acclimatization?

The itinerary includes a day in Manang before continuing toward the pass. The hike toward Ice Lake is optional and depends on conditions and wellbeing; it is not a goal everyone must reach. Acclimatization reduces risk but does not eliminate altitude illness. Discuss your health and preparation with a clinician familiar with high-altitude travel before departure.

What if I feel unwell at altitude?

Tell the guide and organizers immediately about headache, nausea, dizziness or unusual fatigue. General altitude guidance is to avoid ascending to sleep higher while symptoms persist; worsening symptoms require descent. Breathlessness at rest, confusion or loss of coordination require urgent medical help and descent. Ask us about the local emergency arrangements before booking. Helicopter rescue depends on weather and operational conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

What insurance do I need?

Travel insurance is required and is not included in the tour price. Ask your insurer to confirm in writing that your policy covers trekking in Nepal up to at least 5,416 m, emergency medical treatment, mountain rescue and helicopter evacuation at this altitude. Check exclusions and the insurer’s emergency authorization procedure before buying.

Who supports us locally?

Our programme includes a licensed Nepali guide and a local support team. Contact us before booking for the local agency’s details, guide credentials and emergency arrangements.

Practical questions

What do I carry?

Porter support includes up to 10 kg of your personal luggage. You carry a daypack with water, a warm layer and essentials. We will discuss packing during preparation.

Is this trek right for me?

This is a physically demanding high-altitude trek. Expect walking days of around 5–6 hours and approximately 8–10 hours on the pass-crossing day. Before booking, we will discuss your preparation, experience and expectations. Decisions at altitude are made with the local guide, taking the group’s condition into account.

Do I need yoga or meditation experience?

No. The practices are an invitation to pay attention to how you feel. They require no previous experience and are adapted to the conditions along the route.

What is the accommodation like?

We stay in hotels in the cities and simpler mountain lodges on most of the trek. The base price is for twin-sharing accommodation. Single-room availability at altitude is discussed in advance.

Can I join on my own?

Yes. We meet in Kathmandu and travel as a small group. We will discuss your room-sharing preferences before confirming your place.

How do I book?

We start with a conversation about your expectations and preparation. You will then receive confirmation of availability, payment terms and the cancellation policy. Contact Alisa on WhatsApp to get started.
